Yesterday, when the cover of my upcoming memoir was revealed, was the most exciting day I’ve experienced since putting fingers to keyboard with the intention of sharing my words with the world. Maybe I should correct myself and say it was the second most exciting day. The day Anaiah Press offered to publish my book was probably the most exciting.
I cried the first time I saw the cover Anaiah had designed for A Long and Winding Road: A Caregiver’s Tale of Life, Love, and Chaos. That cover represents a dream come true, and it is a tribute to Mom and Dad and to all the friends and family who helped us during our journey through caregiving, Alzheimer’s, and life. My greatest hope is that our story will help others who are on the same journey. I hope that by helping others, I can give some meaning to our struggle with the senseless disease that took Mom and Dad from me well before their physical life ended.
Thank you all for joining me in my excitement and for sharing that excitement with your friends. I want to offer a special thanks to the bloggers who took part in the tour to introduce my cover. Stop by their blogs for a visit, and tell them Linda sent you.
