On caregivers, faith, family, and writing…

Things you must do

I’ve always remembered something I heard my aunt say when she was talking about raising children. “I never thought I could stick my hand down my child’s throat, but when he’s choking, you do what you have to do,” she said.

As a caregiver, I had to do many things I didn’t think I could do. When faced with those moments, I remembered my aunt, and I remembered what the Apostle Paul said in his letter to the Christians at Philippi: “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Blessings,

Linda
