On caregivers, faith, family, and writing…

Learning the song in their heart

I’ve written before about how music can serve as a connecting link between a caregiver and a loved one with Alzheimer’s. I found this beautiful quote on Pinterest, and I wanted to share it with you. I love the image of the door, because several times I saw the door into Mom’s mind open when we shared a song that we both loved. Read or sing the stories, poems, and songs you shared with your loved one before Alzheimer’s. Perhaps that door will open, if only for a moment.

Blessings,

Linda
